Anyway.
Tap on the name of the contact (top of the chat window), a menu will be open and there you have the option to send multimedia.
I havenīt try but it seem that video is not working (at least for someone that post that), image works.

Yappari 1.1.43 is in the repositories now fixing the non-english keyboard arrows problem, the profile picture synchronization, the ghost + contact can be deleted now and it won't appear again, etc.
