On a related note, I don't think I'll be buying... 7mm more is just too much for me. But man, 2400 mAh is a lot.

to really know how bad it is, we'd have to see it closed. It might be ok in a holster or clipped to a belt.

mh I think I am going to pass on this one as well. The n900 is already quite thick, making it even thicker wouldn't appeal to me.

Yes, and rebooting is a real issue, I find with my desktop charger and extra batteries. I haven't timed it, but it takes a long time to boot up. When the N900 was just a gleam in Nokia's eye, someone suggested that a capacitor could be added to keep a tablet alive long enough to switch batteries. I wonder why that idea wasn't taken up.
