Could someone with an N900 (fx: tries to control jealousy) go to the excellent traintimes.org.uk, search for a complicated journey (the first journey at http://traintimes.org.uk/aberdeen/bristol/2100 for instance), select the iCalendar add link and see how well the device handles adding the details to the Calendar? This used to work on my e90 but the site's maintainer had to make a change to get summertime to work correctly with the majority of his users (on Outlook), which while conforming more strictly ot standards no longer worked on Symbian.

Seems to work flawlessly You get the option to choose which calendar you want to add it to, and it created entries for each leg.
i.e 07:47-08:58 Train, Crewe (CRE) to Birmingham New Street (BHM) and in details says "This is the CrossCountry service from Manchester Piccadilly to Bournemouth"

What a nice webpage and service!

A rather neat initiative... I wonder if exists also for other countries? And other services like flight?

That it works, libicalendar support is in Maemo 5, and the Calendar app supports importing. Which is great.

traintimes.org.uk is indeed rather splendid... It's written by one of the chaps behind mysociety.org, they of theyworkforyou.com and whatdotheyknow.com fame, to show that it's perfectly possible to have a javascript etc free, and therefore very accessible, frontend to the National Rail enquiries site. This is utterly commendable; more gen can be found on his webite http://www.dracos.co.uk/play/
