I use quite often stylus and reason for this is not all because it's more accurate than my finger, but because I see less information on screen if I use finger.
So one thing that might make usage with finger better would be to support right hand usage by putting popups and menus on left side of right index finger on screen or at least when ever it's possible.
Right now it feels that people using touch screen with left index finger are having better usage experience. Don't get me wrong left-handed people but fact is that most of population is right handed :|
