Hello, first post, great resource here. Have had the N900 for 1 week now, love it so far coming from iPhone edge & 3G.

I have been using Bluetooth DUN via MacBook / Windows 7. It has connected quickly and tethered as expected. Sometimes there is a problem connecting the two, but mostly works.

I have suddenly been unable to power on bluetooth at all.

I go to: settings> connectivity > bluetooth.
From there, I: Bluetooth ON > Visible ON > My device's name "Nokia N900" > save = Nothing.

Tried rebooting, several times, same issue.

Anyone have similar issues? How can I resolve this?

On a side note: I am still in a 30 day return window via Amazon, so I am considering return/replace... not sure.

I think you must install Bluetooth DUN from Extras-testing repository
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...oth-dun/1.1-1/

This has been installed, prior. The bluetooth on N900 will not turn on AT ALL.

This happened after I tried to re-sync the N900 to Windows (which was pain-free the first time).

I double checked, I have the Extras ver. of BT DUN. I uninstalled the old one and attempted to install the new ver.... but was 'unable to install'. Even after uninstalling, BT was unable to turn on at all.

Sorry. I don't use DUN. I connect to internet from PC by Nokia PC Suite internet connection "One touch Access" only.

I did attempt to install the BT DUN after download, but will not complete install... After several more restarts, it seems that my bluetooth is completly disabled... I guess it's better that it happened within 30 return period... but I'm a little disappointed with this. After extensive Google-ing, I don't this to be a wide spread issue...

I think that easy path - backup & reflash & restore.

What is the best way to reflash?

I understand that sometimes these devices need to reflash to run smoother, I remember doing this with my iPhones / iPods.

I've been having BT connection problems with Win 7. This is just to send pictures and files to/fro PC...not using DUN. I posted back in December with no real results and gave up.

The strange thing is that it DID connect and trasfered the firt time only and never again. Plus, it works with Win Vista, but win 7 driver issues persist.

On another note, is anyody having car BT problems too?
