…can someone of the iPad owners (and I’m sure there are some – even here) confirm this is working. Thank you.

Why the iPad especially?

Every WiFi device can and will connect...

Because people using a "normal Macbook" are already reporting problems - that's why I would hear some "confirmation".

"...
I have also had problems connecting to a joikuspot from my macbook. I have tried the light version and a trial version of the full version on my Nokia E71 phone. The phone has the latest operating system.

I keep getting similar error messages as above. There is no problem with connecting to an ad-hoc network but it says something like (problem with security certificate, or can't handle the compression.)

Be careful the iPad doesn't overheat when you're in the sun :P

...well - it does not run for me.
My config - iPad Wifi and I try to connect via N900 (PR1.2, titvan v37 kernel running ideal). I'm able to establish a connection via WiFi - but actually that's it. I'm not able to surf, start App Store or anything else - yes I see a couple of kb going in and out on JoikuSpot (1.2 Premium) - but that's it.
Any hints?

Edit: ok - "modprobe JoikuSpot_Bouncer" did help - great.

If you're running JoikuSpot and a power kernel, you need to open terminal and:
root
modprobe JoikuSpot_Bouncer

and then close the terminal.
This seems to work (it did for me anyway)

I read that when you close JoikuSpot, you should then open terminal and:
root
modprobe -r JoikuSpot_Bouncer

and then close the terminal.
I don't know why or what this step does, but Mohammed AG wrote it so it must work

I'm trying the same with my Ipad2, but in X term it says:
module Joikuspot_Bouncer not found.

Any ideas?
