And I even prefer the "maemo 6" rather than meego.
Lots of people are confused with Harmattan and Meego/Tizen...
Maybe current release Maemo 6 (Meego) harmattan...

Hmmm, assuming you are referring to the OS in the N9, it certainly is more in common with Maemo than the MeeGo that was to be, however, it is the prerogative of marketing (by the power vested in them by advertising campaigns and press-releases) to decide what things are named, and they have named the OS of the N9 "MeeGo".
Because of this, if we don't call it "MeeGo"-something, and add the letters "N9" in there, N9-newbies will not know what it is, and won't find it.
So, though I still love Maemo, I say a Rose would smell as sweet were it called ought but a rose. The only real point is to call it what most people call it so that they can find it!

I think this discussion will be simpler if we focus on the subtitle, not the title.
