Hi Guys! Got this nice Proto to my collection few days ago with wiped FW. I think it's one of the most early and rare N950, and if I understand right, it's 64GB version (with Carl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/28 AF 12MP mark at the back cover).

Trying to reflash it with various versions of OCF, but it writes errors without any result.

Win_OCF_34-2_EMMC_RM680-OEM1-916
Installed version 7.1.101, file version 7.1.41

Please make sure your device is properly powered OFF prior to connecting
the USB cable. You can power your device off by holding down the power
button for 8+ seconds.

Flashing your device will erase all data and reset the device back to
factory state. Please make sure you have backups of your data before
proceeding with flashing.

If flashing does not start disconnect the USB cable from the device, make
sure the device is OFF and then reconnect the device with the USB cable.
For first flashing you may need to repeat this a few times.
Depending on amount of data to be securely erased, the erasing may take as long
as 30
minutes until the flashing starts. Please, be patient.

Check first that device is powered OFF and then connect USB cable.

Dont use OFC, you can just reflash with the leaked PR1.3 bin file. Although most likely you need to have B2 or newer.

Oh, and in most coutries its illegal to use sim cards with devices beginning with 0044-imei, unless you have special permit from your country operator authority. Usually employees of phone manufacturers are only permitted to use that imei range devices. So even if you manage to get firmware up and running, you will be breaking the law (depending of course the country you are in) if you try to use it on real network.

UpDate: Thx, I knew it. I don't planned to use this Proto as retail smartphone. I got it just for my Nokia NFR collection/maximum to try use it as MeeGo OS DevKit.
But looking above chances to reflash it not really big. :/

you seems to have device lock on, you can ofcourse just exract the bin from OFC that was flashable, and then flash that bin and append --erase-user-data=secure to wipe the device lockcode.

But it might also be that B1.1 hw is not supported by any recent firmware, in that case you just have a non functioning collector item.

The device seems to have h/w revision 0521.
It should be possible with "flasher -F flashimage.bin -q" to query the contents of the fiasco image and check which h/w revision it supports.
Next step could be to try "--set-hw-revision" option to 'fake' the device revision but... if an image is specifically marked to support only certain hardware, I doubt that it would work with anything older.

I use this stuff to do tactic above:
Win_OCF_22-6_EMMC_RM680-OEM1-916 (RX-71.bin/CRC32: 70762231 + EMMC.bin/CRC32: 891AC7B6)
Win_OCF_02-6_RM680-RM680-OEM1.exe (img.bin/CRC32: A3AD6F6A + emmc.bin/CRC32/9917B32A)

2nieldk, Thx, I found 'em in first day I start reflashing this N950. This FW uploaded by one one the Developer.Nokia Moderators.

But after all this work smartphone don't boot properly. It's flashs ok (blue stripe confirms that both images downloaded to unit), but after booting unit loads to Nokia logo, and starts reboot all over again (this way if R&D Mode OFF).
After I turn R&D mode ON unit shows me that (also loop reboot time by time), so... better than nothing, in any case, it's now clear that the machine is alive and flashable. (Btw, yep, display was little struck in 2 places when I got this unit, but digitizer is fully working.)

So, any more ideas to fix this Zombie?

P.S> 2nieldk, My N950 is same that this item, but has more early HW: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nokia-N950...-/161071242998
Here is some seller's info he gave:
"This device has HW build 0829, it should be build F1 if I remember correctly. I don't need to mod HW , I can flash PR1.3 directly." So, looks I said right above, and my N950 is most early build (and rare lol) from all N950 protos that exist here and in eBay at the moment.

Yep, that happens when your device does ~17 watchdog timeouts.

Try loading ubiboot (flasher -l) to get a telnet console to the device before Harmattan starts up, clear /var/malf, and start figuring out what needs to be done.
