Either you leak it to all. Or you don't leak it at all. You know transparency

I agree. Telling "you can upgrade to 1.1.4.24" would be enough. Sharing dangerous commands ready to be copy pasted for unexperienced people is not so good.

Copy/paste for the unexperienced, dare I say is far better than not giving FULL instructions.

the so-called unexperienced people will otherwise very likeky try what they believe is correct. Way more dangerous.

So, again i repeat those ******** remarks.

while true shouldn't people realistically look at the commands? I understand what they do so I use them, but I doubt I could remember them for the life of me. so whats the issue with them being provided?

The reason is if somebody will leak it every time jolla can move beta releases out of public server and you will need to wait official (opt-in) release to get it. Also if much peoples will update this way and got problems jolla can't help them in common way without suggesting factory reset and doing normal update procedure

I guess you have a point there. And finding the insructions with Google is easy enough, so the harm is done already. Maybe some "this is dangerous" disclaimer would be nice.
