Basic Joypad support (HID?)
Is there any way to have maemo support generic joy pads, (the kind that don't need any drivers to be installed from windows or linux.)

A pipe dream... [boxee on n810]
How awesome would boxee on the NIT's be? Both share a strong emphasis on internet media and the like, plus the tablets really need a better mediacenter application!
It's not completely ridiculous...

bot VGB and VGBA are pretty bad as far as emulators go, a lot of messed up sprites and glitches that make the game unplayable. In fact, why are they so popular when everything I've tried on gnuboy...

I can't get the context menus in milkytracker to show through tap'n'hold; specifically in the sample and instrument editor. any workarounds or am I just doing something wrong?

Nothing special. Just installed the usbcontrol app and hooked up a keyboard.
I wrote a 2 page outline in openoffice, which is surprisingly stable considering the way it's emulated.

A bit of a rant.
I just hacked together a female-female usb adapter out of 2 male-female adapters and the results are stunning to say the least. I feel like I can actually use my n810 for serious, productive work...

I use a combination of canolan 2, upnp, subsonic media server and the default media player. it works very well and I can access my entire music collection from any wifi point.
Games are lacking,,...

Er, I had terminal services turned off. I ran it this time and the screen Flashed! *excitement*
But no rdesktop still. It's not even giving an error this time.

ok, now it won't even run. It's crashing with a bunch of errors, I'll post them in a second. However, that is not the issue. evne the CLI isn't allowing me to connect. It's saying connection refused.

tear and flash = not so good
everything about tear is fantastic except flash. it just doesn't work right. for instance, I try to play a youtube video but - and this is completely true - it will not play unless i hold the stylus...
